The 2026 edition of EIMA International has moved into the planning phase with increased demand from exhibitors and expectations of matching or surpassing the previous record of 1.750 companies. The fair takes place from November 10th to 14th in Bologna.
The organization anticipates growth in specific sectors, particularly components, which already have around 800 registered companies. According to FederUnacoma, the organization responsible for the event, the increased demand requires a reorganization of the pavilions and outdoor areas. Director-General Simona Rapastella stated that the volume of requests and the expansion of requested areas have made the fair's design more complex.
Among the new features, the 2026 edition repositions the outdoor demonstration areas. The Garden E-motion space, focused on gardening, and REAL, dedicated to robotics, will be located between pavilions 35 and 37. The Eima Energy area will occupy two external sides of pavilion 30. The Tractor of the Year and Contoterzista Driver Trophy arenas will be located near the North entrance, an area strengthened by new parking lots and shuttle lines.
The fair maintains an international profile, with visitors from over 150 countries and official delegations organized by the ICE agency. The organization expects a record number of foreign operators. The technical program includes at least 150 events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops. The topics cover autonomous machines, agricultural data management, workplace safety, carbon credits, and designing the future of agriculture.
During the same presentation at the fair, FederUnacoma highlighted the market scenario. The agricultural machinery sector in Italy showed recovery in 2025, driven by public incentives. Tractor sales grew by 13,7%, with 17,6 units registered. Other segments also advanced, with the exception of combine harvesters.
Despite the domestic recovery, exports have slowed. The domestic market accounts for 30% of the sector's revenue. International shipments fell 4,8% in value, with a 34% decline in the United States. France and Germany also reduced purchases. Spain and Poland increased imports, but this did not compensate for losses in the main destinations.
The president of FederUnacoma, Mariateresa Maschio, assessed that the high volume of used machinery hinders the renewal of the agricultural fleet. The used tractor market grew by 6% in 2025 and exceeded 60 units. The leader advocated for long-term incentive policies and training programs to encourage the adoption of new technologies.
