Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja-MT) advises producers regarding possible crop failure due to drought. According to the entity's vice-president, Lucas Costa Beber, the municipalities of Diamantino, Paranatinga and 7 other cities have been without rain for more than 22 days and Campinápolis, and Sapezal for more than 30 days.

“The issue of drought in the State is of great concern with some cities having more than 25 days without rain. These are municipalities that have significant production, and this is very worrying, as costs are rising, the producer makes investments and ends up making a loss. We came from a year in which the producer was still able to buy fertilizers at a reasonable price, but we know that from now on the scenario is worrying about the increase in inputs”, declared bebe.

Aprosoja-MT advises producers that it is time to exercise caution. “Let us know the drought records in your municipality, we know that there are many companies estimating a super harvest there, but in reality there is already a big drop in the State, even if there are still rains, we already have consolidated breaks”, he stated.

“Although this year's soybean planting was earlier than last year, we had a delay in the harvest due to excessive rain, and also the planting of corn due to excess humidity and mud that made it difficult for the soil to move. machinery”, concluded Lucas.
