In 2016, Jacto began selling coffee harvesters with the option to purchase through the barter, opening up another possibility for purchasing machinery and equipment and offering varied payment terms for the producer.

The modality consists of allowing payment in product, in this case bags of coffee, as an alternative when purchasing the company's harvester models. It is already known in the market and is being adopted for the first time by Jacto as another commercial option.

“This is a triangular operation between Jacto, a partner that operates in the global coffee market, and the customer. A financial analysis of the operation is carried out, taking as a reference the productivity potential of the crop of the client who wishes to make this negotiation. Through the option, the producer will be able to pay in up to 3 harvests", explains Walmi Gomes Martin, product manager for Jacto's harvester line.

Producers who opt for this modality can contact the company, as well as partner resellers, to find out more details about the operation. Also during fairs and events in the coffee sector, the team is prepared to answer questions about this modality.
