Deadline for filling out the CAR/MS is approaching

The technical consultant of the Famasul System - Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of MS, Daniele Coelho, advises the producer to register by the day defined by law. "The sooner the rural producer registers, the better, considering that it is fully legalized under the Brazilian Forest Code. Therefore, we advise you not to leave it until the last minute, very close to the deadline. Furthermore, be careful with all the information registered, always consulting a qualified professional", he advises.

Completing the CAR/MS is mandatory and the rural producer is responsible for the information in the registration.

The Famasul System also published the Questions and Answers booklet - New Forest Code and Rural Environmental Registry on its information portal (access:http://zip.net/bdszj8), with the aim of clarifying rural producers’ doubts about filling out the CAR/MS. The booklet, timer and lectures are actions of the Radar Ambiental program.

About CAR - To register their information, rural producers in Mato Grosso do Sul must use CAR-MS, which is integrated with SICAR, in which they must present the environmental data of their rural property in the State. The system is now available for registration on the Imasul website – Instituto de Meio Ambiente de MS (http://www.imasul.ms.gov.br/). Rural producers who do not register with CAR-MS by the deadline will be considered irregular and may be prevented from obtaining environmental licensing, financing and even restrictions on marketing.
