AgroBrasília, in partnership with Emater, holds the Soybean Cultivar Field Day on February 16th. The Cultivar Competition, a traditional AgroBrasília event, brings together important agribusiness companies that present the latest in technology, quality and development of soybean seeds.
The event is a preview of the Competition results, whose numbers are announced on the first day of the Fair.
All materials receive the same handling, treatment and fertilization, which demonstrates the equality of the Competition. “For producers, it is the chance to learn about materials planted on the same date, under the same conditions. These are recommended materials for our region and, this year, we have a larger number, which means more options for participants”, points out Carlos Vítor, Competition coordinator.
There were 67 cultivated materials, 51 IPRO soybean cultivars and 16 RR soybean cultivars, each material occupied an area of one thousand square meters. The companies sent cultivars with high productive value, as well as great resistance to diseases, pests, the region's climate and soil, meeting the needs of producers.
The companies Dimiagro Fertilizandos, Koppert do Brasil and Yara Brasil sponsor the Field Day and are partners of the event.
