Rio Grande do Sul is facing a period of drought that, in many regions of the State, has been impacting the productive potential of agriculture. In particular, the lack of water directly affected the physiology of plants. In soybean cultivation, high temperatures, drought, pest attacks and diseases are factors that cause stress in plants and, respectively, significant losses in productivity.

In this scenario of little rainfall, the decrease in crop performance occurs because water, among other functions, helps to regulate the ideal temperature for the plant to function. “When there is a water deficit in the soil, the temperature in the plant ends up increasing and, thus, we lose some important functional characteristics. There is nothing that can replace the water in your system. However, there are some ways to improve the efficiency of absorption and use by plants and nutrition plays a very important role in this sense”, says Agricultural Engineer Alécio Radons, technical support at Satis.

The Minas Gerais company specializes in research and development of plant nutrition solutions. Thinking about increasing the physiological capacity of plants and improving their resistance to stress caused by water deficiency, Satis developed a line of products aimed at helping plants in adverse weather conditions: Sturdy, Vitakelp, Vitan and Vitaphol Power K. These solutions they act to increase the active absorption of water and nutrients by plants, in addition to acting as a nutritional supplement. Radons explains that this line is made up of bioactivating substances and amino acids that will prepare or give “survival” to plants, thus ensuring that they can more easily overcome critical periods of drought, having a more efficient recovery in the post-stress period.

In the current phase in which most crops in Rio Grande do Sul are located, it is very important for the producer to work with the combined application of Sturdy and Vitan, providing the plants with a high load of energy and free amino acids so that they can reestablish their metabolism. , thus providing a rapid recovery of crops, minimizing losses and recovering their productive potential.

The Sturdy solution stands out as a powerful plant bioactivator that contains a high level of phosphorus (an element responsible for plant energy), enriched with algae extract. Its formulation provides a rapid improvement in root development and vegetative growth. It offers better performance, especially under conditions where energy demand is greater, in addition to promoting an improvement in plant structure and greater absorption of nutrients from the soil.

Vitakelp is a solution enriched with a high concentration of algae extract and bioactivating substances that improve the setting of flowers and fruits, as well as helping the plant in stressful situations, reducing damage caused by adverse conditions.

Vitan is a powerful organomineral, rich in macro and micronutrients and contains a high load of free amino acids in its formula. These characteristics give it excellent absorption via the leaf, rapid assimilation of the product and, consequently, excellent recovery of plants after a period of stress. It acts directly on physiological processes, also improving the root, vegetative and reproductive development of plants.

Vitaphol Power K, in turn, contains a high concentration of potassium in its composition in a very noble form. This nutrient is vital for the perfect development of the plant. Potassium is responsible for increasing water absorption by plants, being a regulator of their osmotic pressure (regulates the entry and exit of water from cells) promoting greater resistance to drought. It works as an activator, favoring the absorption of nutrients from the soil, significantly stimulating plant physiological activity and improving grain filling, thus increasing the weight of a thousand grains, which is a direct component of productivity.

“By using these tools, the producer will provide physiological strengthening of the plants and improve the productivity results of their crops”, adds the technician. “It’s technology applied from roots to leaves. A well-nourished plant is synonymous with a strong and healthy plant,” he highlights.
