Registration is now open for the Crop-Livestock Integration Workshop that will be held at Embrapa Agrossilvopastoril on May 23rd and 24th. The event will present the results of three years of agricultural research using second-crop consortiums in production systems with soybeans planted directly on straw and in ILP.

The work was carried out at Fazenda Santana, in Sorriso, by the Embrapa and UFMT team through a project financed by REM Mato Grosso.

The Workshop will be promoted by Clube Amigos da Terra (CAT Sorriso) through the Cultivating Sustainable Life project, in partnership with the institutions involved in the research project.

Registration for the Workshop is free and must be done in advance on the website https://catsorriso.org.br/eventos/whorkshop-integracao-lavoura-pecuaria/. Spaces for in-person monitoring are limited. However, the event will be broadcast live on Embrapa's YouTube channel.

Agenda

The Workshop program will have three distinct moments, two of them with presentations of results in the auditorium and one with a technical visit to the Embrapa Agrossilvopastoril technological showcase.

On the first day, the morning and part of the afternoon will be dedicated to presenting results obtained in experiments using the direct planting system in straw. Results related to straw production, soil chemistry, physics and microbiology, carbon and soil structural profile, incidence of nematodes, diseases and pests, as well as grain quality and financial results will be addressed.

The technical visit will take place in the late afternoon of the 23rd and participants will be able to see the consortia discussed in the plenary in the field.

On Friday, the 24th, the program in the auditorium will resume in the morning with the presentation of results and discussions on the performance of consortia focused on crop-livestock integration. Zootechnical results, chemical, physical and microbiological attributes of the soil, soybean health and economic indicators will be covered.

To conclude the program, there will be a panel discussion on two ILP case studies in the mid-north region of Mato Grosso.
