The pace of commercialization in the national spot has decreased in recent days, due to the retraction of some of the industries consulted by Cepea, which are supplied with the feather acquired at the beginning of this month and also through term contracts. This context even resulted in a weakening in the internal values of cotton lint, which had been registering a slight upward movement since the beginning of this month.

In addition to the slower pace of trading, the lots available on the market are, for the most part, of lower quality, which also influences lower liquidity and a drop in prices. Between October 22nd and 29th, the CEPEA/ESALQ cotton lint indicator, with payment in 8 days, fell 0,22%, closing at R$ 250,16/lp on Tuesday, October 29th. In October (until the 29th), the indicator registered an increase of 1%.
