Cotton harvest exceeds 80% in Goiás

A survey carried out on August 26th shows that the harvest reached 80,20% of the entire planted area, compared to 73,66% on August 18th. The survey is carried out by the Cotton Culture Incentive Fund in Goiás (Fialgo), which monitors the entire harvest period on cotton-producing farms in the state.

Region 1, made up of the municipalities of Goiatuba, Morrinhos, Palmeiras de Goiás, Itumbiara, Santa Helena and Turvelândia, accounted for 95,07% of the harvest harvested, a small increase compared to the previous week, when it had recorded 92,92%. The current percentage represents 10,65% of the total area harvested in Goiás.

Region 2, which brings together the municipalities of Caiapônia, Chapadão do Céu, Jataí, Montividiu, Mineiros, Rio Verde and Perolândia, saw its harvested area increase from 82,62% to 90,60% in one week. This value corresponds to 42,23% of the total area of ​​Goiás and maintained an accelerated pace of harvesting in the region.

Region 3, which covers the municipalities of Cabeceiras, Cristalina and Luziânia, reached 86,18%, rising slightly compared to the 80,21% harvested area recorded on August 18th. The current record corresponds to 25,62% of the total at the state level.

In turn, Region 4, formed only by the municipalities of Jussara and Britânia, began harvesting after the other regions and reached 13,62% of its area, the biggest advance in all regions, compared to 7,13% in last week. However, this percentage represents 1,70% of the entire planted area in Goiás.
