Corteva announces new leadership for Brazil and Paraguay

Corteva announced today (4/1/2023) that Ana Claudia Cerasoli (photo) will be the company's president for Brazil and Paraguay from February 1, 2023. She will replace Roberto Hun, who held the role since the formation of Corteva and who was appointed as Stoller's global integration leader.

On November 30, 2022, Corteva announced an agreement to acquire Stoller. In his new role, Roberto will lead Stoller's global integration team (once the transaction is complete).

Ana Claudia Cerasoli is Brazilian and, since January 2019, has presided over Corteva for the Meso Andean region (headquarters in Mexico). She has a degree in Chemical Engineering from UNICAMP and an MBA in Agriculture from the Federal University of Viçosa, as well as in Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. With more than 15 years of experience in Agriculture and a 31-year career at Corteva, Ana Claudia becomes the first woman to lead Corteva's operations in Brazil.

Throughout her career, Ana Claudia has held various positions in marketing, sales and commercial effectiveness. She was also global project manager (a role she held in the United States) and marketing director for Corteva Latin America.

In her new role, the executive will have the mission of consolidating and continuing Corteva's trajectory in Brazil and Paraguay. Brazil is the company's second largest operation in the world.

About Corteva's acquisition of Stoller

The acquisition announcement took place in 30 / 11 / 2022. According to information from the company, the purchase of Stoller aims to increase the portfolio of biological inputs and allow expansion and acceleration of business in the sector.

The business is subject to prior administrative control by CADE. The request was filed on 13/12/2022. Publicity was given about the existence of the procedure by the federal authority in 30 / 12 / 2022. There has still been no statement of merit regarding the operation.
