Corteva Agriscience's Good Agricultural Practices area will hold, on October 11th, in partnership with Módulo Rural, an event of the Mulheres no Campo project in Ibicoara, Chapada Diamantina region, in Bahia. The meeting will bring together rural coffee producers and will be a moment of celebration on the date of International Rural Women's Day, on October 15th.
Among the scheduled actions are a round table, involving female professionals such as a coffee producer, a livestock farmer and an entrepreneur who will address female empowerment; a chat about the challenges faced by women in field work and the use of PPE and activities aimed at preventing women's health, care and beauty tips and healthy eating.
Mulheres no Campo is one of the main socio-environmental projects in Corteva's Good Agricultural Practices area and is aimed at women, farmers, wives and daughters of farmers. The initiative brings knowledge on topics such as health, food security and sustainable production.
“This project recognizes the fundamental role of women as influential leaders in changing society, reaffirming and highlighting their importance in decisions. Participatory education is the tool that Corteva and the area of Good Agricultural Practices use to raise preventive awareness in the community. With Mulheres no Campo, we help transform these women in their daily lives in the countryside, contributing to a better future for Brazilian agribusiness”, explains Julliane Fuscaldi, Stewardship Specialist at Corteva Agriscience for Crop Protection.
