Corn planting reached 100% in Rio Grande do Sul

According to the current information released by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (EMATER-RS), corn planting has already reached 100% of the total area planned for this harvest.

Of this total, approximately 17% of the area is ready for harvest, 35% in grain filling, 14% in flowering, 22% in germination and only 12% has already been harvested in the state.

In the report released on January 10th, the planted rate was 99% and only 6% had already been harvested. In the same period of the previous harvest, the planted area already totaled 100% of the total and 14% had already been harvested.

Throughout this week, there will still be rain showers over a large part of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, however, without the same intensity as in recent days. On Tuesday (22), for example, the forecast is for a hot day with no rain in all areas of Rio Grande do Sul. The forecast is that it will only rain again on Wednesday (23).
