Ceradis close to offering Ceramax fungicide in Brazil
Its vice president of marketing and sales, Jan Stechmann, is expected to come to the country in February
Copercampos, founded in 1970, with headquarters in Campos Novos/SC, and with more than 25 years of operation in Rio Grande do Sul, entered into a partnership with the Department of Agricultural Diagnosis and Research - DDPA, linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture of Rio Grande do Sul, to develop research focused on food production at the State Center for Diagnosis and Research in Fruit Growing – Cefruti, located in Veranópolis/RS.
With Cefruti working on stone fruit research, DDPA sought a partnership to strengthen research activities in the grain area in the center and Copercampos, which has units in Nova Prata, signed a ten-year partnership to strengthen actions aimed at research and development of cultivars and hybrids adapted to the region. With the work at the center, Copercampos will seek to expand its area of activity in the region, implementing demonstration units, technological showcases, field days, training and technical qualifications for farmers and professionals in the sector.
Another objective of Copercampos and Cefruti is to apply new technologies, expand the center's research actions in locations where the cooperative operates and, also, take the cooperative's research actions to other DDPA Research centers.
With the partnership, Cefruti will expand its operations in the agricultural sector, with the development of research and generation of knowledge and innovation and validation of technologies. Copercampos and DDPA seek to strengthen research activities in fruit and vegetable growing, areas in which the cooperative has been operating with greater solidity in recent years.
The cooperation agreement was published in the official gazette in December 2022, and Copercampos and Cefruti's technical coordination presented the partnership to the press on January 13th. Copercampos Technical Assistance Manager, Fabrício Jardim Hennigen and the supervisor of the Nova Prata unit, Edison Perosa de Lima, represented the cooperative at the meeting. Lineu Migon (researcher and head of the center) and Sérgio Dias Lannes (researcher) also explained the relevance of the partnership with Copercampos for disseminating research in the grains area.
“This partnership will contribute to the development of research-oriented projects so that we can help farmers in the region increase grain yields throughout the region. We participated in the public call, presented our project and now we have the challenge of working in partnership with the Cefruti team on projects that contribute to the development of agriculture in the region. Copercampos always works with partnerships and this will be no different. We will share knowledge and use all the expertise of researchers, to develop great projects for this region of Rio Grande do Sul”, highlights Fabrício.
