Rain is expected in the North and Northeast regions; in other areas, stable weather will prevail.
Copercampos has expanded its presence in the Alto Vale do Itajaí region of Santa Catarina by inaugurating a new grain storage unit in the municipality of Rio do Campo. The facility includes a tipper, scales, housing, a 1.500 square meter input warehouse, and silos with a storage capacity of 272 60-kilogram bags.
The new structure was designed to offer greater logistical efficiency, faster grain reception, and better service conditions for producers. Another highlight is that the facility has a wood chip-fed dryer, a system that contributes to greater operational efficiency and sustainability in the grain drying process.
“This unit was requested by our producers, who are now partners, to facilitate and provide better conditions for the delivery of their production, which was previously very far from our other units,” said the president of Copercampos, Luiz Carlos Chiocca, during the inauguration, held on May 30th.
Associate Ademir Heidemann highlighted the importance of the cooperative's arrival in the municipality, emphasizing its proximity, the quality of Copercampos, and the credit it provides. Associate Eder Paulo Schaikoski highlighted the benefits of logistics and the return provided by the cooperative model.
“Logistics has always been a major problem, and here we also feel valued. Until then, we didn't know what it meant to be an associate. At the end of the harvest, everything you buy and deliver generates added value. In this last harvest, even though I started recently, I received more than R$ 100 in financial return, making the producer want to continue in the activity,” added Eder.
Associate Tarcísio Kulkamp also highlighted the service offered by the cooperative's team and the results achieved with the new unit. "In addition to optimizing the entire delivery process, the unit is delivering what we imagined and perhaps even a little more than we calculated. We are very happy," he emphasized.
With the inauguration of the facility in Rio do Campo, Copercampos reaffirms its commitment to regional development, investing in infrastructure, logistics, and proximity to its members, further strengthening agribusiness in Santa Catarina.
