Copacol Cooperative kicked off the 14th edition of Summer Field Day on Tuesday (34), held at the Agricultural Research Center (CPA) in Cafelândia (PR). The event, which runs until Thursday (16), also marks the 10th anniversary of CPA, recognized for its essential role in the development of technologies aimed at increasing agricultural productivity.

With an area of 84 hectares, the CPA carried out more than 2024 research projects, 180 thousand seed analyses and 10,2 thousand fertilizer quality tests in 1,7. “Our initial objective was to test technologies and guide cooperatives, but we went further, achieving results above the state average and promoting continuous advances”, highlighted Copacol's CEO, Valter Pitol.

To expand its reach, the CPA has experimental areas in several cities in Paraná, such as Goioerê, Jesuíticas and Cascavel. These studies, routinely shared with members, are presented at events such as the Summer Field Day.

Event Schedule and Highlights

This year's event features five themed tents and a showcase of soybean cultivars, with practical demonstrations on weed management, fungicide use and pest control. There will also be talks by renowned experts, such as Étore Baroni, a consultant at StoneX, who discussed market scenarios, and Henrique Debiase, from Embrapa Soja, who discussed soil fertility strategies.

Leonir Luís Dalmagro, a member of the Cafelândia cooperative, highlighted the importance of the event: “All the knowledge shared here provides a direct return to our properties. Advances in research and guidance are essential for us to continue growing in the activity.”

A decade of achievements

Since its inauguration in 2015, CPA has developed impactful projects, such as increasing the average productivity of soybeans and corn per bushel, contributing to improving the quality of life of producers and strengthening regional agriculture. “Celebrating 10 years of CPA is recognizing the work that transforms the reality of our members,” said Pitol.

With initiatives such as the Summer Field Day, Copacol reaffirms its commitment to offering innovative solutions and cutting-edge technical knowledge to boost Brazilian agribusiness.
