The Regional Coffee Growers' Cooperative in Guaxupé (Cooxupé) announced, together with Mirante Investimentos, a partnership with the company Master Expresso. In this way, Cooxupé will operate in a new market, offering coffee solutions for the corporate environment. The operation in this niche is carried out through the Cooxupé Roasting Company, which has been present in Brazilian retail for 40 years.

With the partnership, the coffee cooperative diversifies its business, with the main objective of complementing the services offered: combining the provision of services by Master Expresso, with Cooxupé's experience in originating coffee from 20 thousand cooperative producing families and the investment management of Mirante.

Cooxupé is now part of Master Expresso, a company that has been operating in the corporate market in the metropolitan region of São Paulo for 27 years. The partnership signed in 2024 will further strengthen this area and expand its operations to the entire state of São Paulo and, later, to Brazil.

In practice

Master Expresso's service includes the supply of espresso machines on loan to companies and food services, providing all the necessary supplies for the equipment to operate, in addition to Cooxupé's own Prima Qualitá brand coffee sachets and other options that bear the cooperative's signature.

“Cooxupé is recognized worldwide for its quality standards and processes. We consider the corporate market a great opportunity to diversify our business through our roasting industry, adding more value to cooperative families, in addition to bringing consumers a new experience: from the farm to the cup”, explains the Superintendent of Roasting and New Businesses of the Minas Gerais coffee cooperative, Mário Panhotta da Silva.

Currently, Cooxupé Roasting is the seventh largest roasting industry in the country, according to the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association (Abic). With the new business, the company centralizes the coffee of more than 20 thousand cooperative members in a different distribution channel, bringing to the corporate consumer a beverage produced using good agricultural practices and supplied by a cooperative with more than 90 years of operation in Brazilian cooperatives.

“With this combination of skills, Master Expresso is ready to expand the number of customers, who will have access to the best coffees produced by our 20 cooperative families, with traceability and certification, guaranteeing food safety for the consumer”, says the president of Cooxupé, Carlos Augusto Rodrigues de Melo (in the photo).

Márcio Graicer, managing partner of Master Expresso, praises the partnership between the cooperative and the company.

“Now that we are part of the Cooxupé Group, we have all the requirements and more opportunities to expand our market presence, providing our customers with coffee endorsed by the cooperative, with full guarantee of origin and sustainability, points that Master Expresso has always valued. With the partnership, the expectations are great for us to advance even further in this sector where we have been operating in a consolidated manner for almost three decades”, he reinforces.
