Cooperalfa reopens its unit in São Roque (SC)

Next Wednesday (23), the Alfa Agroindustrial Cooperative (Cooperalfa) reopens its unit in the district of São Roque, in São Lourenço do Oeste (SC). With 1.197 m² of total area, the branch now has a modern structure integrated between Superalfa and Loja Agropecuária, reinforcing the cooperative's commitment to regional development and the appreciation of its members. 

“This is a special moment that marks another chapter in a story built with respect, dedication and, above all, with the appreciation of the community of São Roque and each person who was part of this journey,” highlights the president of Cooperalfa, Romeo Bet (in the photo).

In 2024, the unit generated over R$65 million in the local economy, significantly contributing to the municipality. According to Cooperalfa's comptroller's office, 191.466 bags of grain were received last year, a figure surpassed only in the first half of 2025, which totaled 195.805 bags.

Currently, Cooperalfa has 458 members in São Lourenço do Oeste, more than half of whom come from São Roque, and 120 employees distributed among the units in São Roque (market and agriculture), São Lourenço do Oeste (store and agriculture), São Roque Grain Silo and Linha Bela Vista Hopper.

A legacy of growth

The cooperative's history in the region dates back to 2004, when the Serra Alta agricultural company (Formosa do Sul, Santa Catarina) moved to São Roque, along with the silo, initially operating from a leased facility. That same year, the agricultural store in the city and the hopper in Linha Bela Vista were also opened.

In 2008, expansion continued with Superalfa São Lourenço do Oeste. In 2021, the cooperative acquired the São Roque unit (silo and agricultural unit) and, in 2022, opened a new headquarters with over 7 m². Since then, several investments have been made, culminating now with the reopening of the integrated agricultural store and market.
