Rabobank forecasts a drop in demand in 2025 and a sharper slowdown in 2026, driven by high prices.
Coopavel has already begun the selection process for 750 temporary positions for workers who will make up the support team for the 38th Show Rural Coopavel, an event that will take place from February 9th to 13th, 2026, in Cascavel, in western Paraná. The opportunities are geared towards different areas and represent an important gateway into the job market, as well as a boost to job and income generation in the municipality and the region.
Hiring has already begun and is being done in stages. For field work, the process is underway and will continue into December. Positions related to cleaning and the restaurant will begin in January, while other hires will be for the week leading up to the event and the days of the agricultural technical exhibition, one of the three largest in the world.
The vacancies cover positions such as kitchen assistant, parking attendant, cleaning assistant, electrical maintenance assistant, recycling assistant, field service assistant, booth supervisor, and receptionist. In addition to salary, those hired will be entitled to on-site meals and transportation allowance.
The president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli, emphasizes the social role of the Show Rural. “The event goes beyond the dissemination of technologies for the field, which is the central characteristic of the show held since 1989. It injects millions of reais into the local economy, generates opportunities and income for thousands of families in Cascavel and the region. This is an example of how a cooperative project can benefit the entire community, generating development and prosperity,” says Dilvo.
According to the Human Resources manager, Aguinel Waclawovsky, this is a great opportunity for those seeking employment. Many professionals who start at the Show Rural as temporary workers end up being hired permanently after the event. This is a way to demonstrate commitment and secure a permanent position at the cooperative, emphasizes Aguinel.
The selection process is conducted by the cooperative's Human Resources Department, through the Recruitment and Selection area, in partnership with the coordinators of each sector. Applications can be made in person at three locations: at the Show Rural park, starting in December; at the Cascavel Employment Agency, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 17 pm (already underway); and at the Coopavel Recruitment sector, located in the cooperative's industrial complex, opposite the racetrack, on Wednesdays, from 8 am to 17 pm (already underway). There is also the option of online registration through the event's official website, in the "Work With Us" section (www.showrural.com.br).
Interested parties must present their CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), RG (Brazilian national identity card), proof of residence, marriage certificate (if applicable), Vale Sim card (if applicable), and proof of PIX key. According to Claudia da Rocha, Coopavel's People and Management Coordinator, candidates who are not selected will remain registered in the cooperative's Talent Bank and may be contacted for future opportunities.
During the week of the event, approximately five thousand people will be directly or indirectly involved in the park's activities, including 1,2 Coopavel employees and workers hired by the more than 600 exhibitors. The theme of the 38th edition will be "The Strength That Comes From Within." The Show Rural opens the calendar of major technical events and agribusiness fairs in Brazil every year.
