Aiming to strengthen the connection between science, the market, and the productive sector, the Agribusiness Research Development Foundation (Fundepag) is hosting the "Raízes da Inovação" Congress on December 2nd and 3rd at Expo Dom Pedro in Campinas, São Paulo. The event was designed to align joint initiatives with companies, startups, research institutions, and municipal, state, and federal governments, fostering business opportunities and strengthening strategic partnerships in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), regenerative agriculture, innovation, and the environment.
On the first day, the program will cover the development and application of artificial intelligence in sectors such as agribusiness and pharmaceuticals, as well as topics related to legislation and regulation, financing, technological infrastructure, open innovation, traceability, certification, and agro-environmental decarbonization. The second day will focus on regenerative agriculture, with presentations of projects already underway by Fundepag and partners, including the International Hub for Sustainable Development (HIDS).
According to the Foundation's CEO, Álvaro Duarte, the event will be an excellent networking opportunity, featuring exhibitions by startups and artisanal producers, as well as a space dedicated to the API Network, which represents São Paulo's Innovation Environments.
"The proposal is to reinforce Fundepag's role as a link between the public and private sectors, expanding opportunities for collaboration. The meeting will bring together startups with innovative ideas, which will present products and services with business potential, in addition to providing a space for companies to learn about the Foundation's programs and its Institutes and identify concrete possibilities for developing joint innovation projects," he highlights.
The Roots of Innovation Congress is aimed at companies, industries, investment funds, public science, technology, and innovation institutions, universities, research centers, foundations, multilateral organizations, as well as government and nonprofit representatives. In this context, Duarte highlights Fundepag's positioning as a foundation for leaders.
"The conference reinforces our commitment to proposing projects, generating business opportunities, and revitalizing the production chain with sustainable, high-value-added ideas. We want to be recognized as an active foundation that engages with companies and works to benefit the agro-environmental sector. Our commitment is to unite production, environmental preservation, and profitability, always looking to the future with responsibility and innovation," concludes Fundepag's CEO.
