Cold air mass keeps temperatures low in the South.

Southeast and North regions are still expected to have rain showers in the coming days.

The forecast for Brazil, this Thursday (21), indicates persistent rain in the North Region of the country and in areas of the Southeast. In the Northeast Region, rain is still expected in coastal areas, mainly in the state of Maranhão. In the South Region of Brazil, low temperatures are expected, with frost occurring in the early hours of the day, mainly for the Serrana Catarinense region.

On Friday (22), conditions for rain showers in the Southeast Region remain, with more significant accumulations for the northeast of Minas Gerais and isolated rains for the coast of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. In the South, the cold begins to lose strength, but there is still a forecast of frost for the north of Rio Grande do Sul and the Serra Catarinense. In the North Region, rain continues to hit the northernmost states, such as Roraima, Amapá and the north of Pará and Amazonas.  

Northern Region

On Thursday (21), the forecast remains for showers accompanied by thunderstorms in the North Region. The largest accumulations of rain are expected in the north of Amazonas, in Amapá and in Roraima, with volumes that may exceed 70 mm in some locations. The states of Acre, Tocantins and the southern portion of Rondônia have more stable weather conditions, without the possibility of rain, with maximum temperatures of 23°C in Rio Branco and 35°C in Palmas.

On Friday (22), the scenario is similar with rain showers and thunderstorms in much of Amazonas and Pará, but the accumulated rainfall intensifies on the coast of Amapá, possibly exceeding 70 mm. For these days, temperatures range between a minimum of 17°C, forecast for Rio Branco, and a maximum of 35°C in Palmas, where relative humidity should reach 30% in the afternoon.  

North East Region 

For Thursday (21), isolated showers are expected in northern Maranhão and along the coastal strip between Recôncavo Baiano and the state of Sergipe. In the remaining parts of Agreste and Sertão, dry weather will prevail, with no chance of rain, with minimum temperatures of 14°C in the Chapada Diamantina region and maximum temperatures around 37°C in the sertão of Rio Grande do Norte.

On Friday (22), isolated rain is expected along the entire Northeast coast, mainly in the Recôncavo, and between Maranhão and Rio Grande do Norte. Showers are also expected in southern Bahia throughout the day. The weather remains stable and dry in the Sertão, with the minimum relative humidity reaching 30% in parts of Piauí, Paraíba and western Bahia. Temperatures remain similar, and the biggest change should occur in southern Bahia, with a maximum below 26°C in Teixeira de Freitas.

Midwest region 

On Thursday (21), the weather will be stable, with no rain forecast in the states of the region. Temperatures will rise, with highs of 36 °C in northern Goiás and lows around 14 °C in southern Mato Grosso do Sul.

On Friday (22), weather conditions will not undergo significant changes. There will be varying cloud cover, but sunshine will prevail in most states. Maximum temperatures will be around 36 °C, and minimum temperatures around 15 °C.  

Southeast 

For Thursday (21), there is a forecast of rain showers in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, with the largest accumulations expected in the north of Rio de Janeiro, in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais and in the south of Espírito Santo. Maximum temperatures will reach up to 33 °C in the north of Minas Gerais, and minimum temperatures will be 15 °C on the coast of São Paulo.

On Friday (22), rain is still expected, with isolated showers occurring along the coast of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. For the northeast of Minas Gerais, there is a possibility of showers. The predicted highs are 34 °C, and the lows, 16°C.    

South   

For Thursday (21), the weather should remain stable, without significant precipitation in the region. There is still a forecast of strong frost, mainly in the mountainous region of Santa Catarina. Temperatures remain low, with highs of up to 15 °C and lows close to zero.

On Friday (22), the formation of unstable areas will cause changes in weather conditions. As a result, rain showers are expected in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina. There is still a forecast of frost, but with less intensity. Maximum temperatures will be around 24 °C in northern Paraná, while minimum temperatures will remain close to zero in Santa Catarina and northern Rio Grande do Sul.
