The Arabica coffee harvest in the area served by the Cerrado Coffee Growers Cooperative (Expocacer) progressed to between 10% and 15% of the total expected in the second week of June. According to the organization, harvesting work gained momentum in the Cerrado Mineiro region until June 12th, especially in areas with greater uniformity of ripening.

In the 2026/27 harvest, Expocacer projects a harvest of 2,859 million 60 kg bags of Arabica coffee in its area of coverage, which comprises 82.020 hectares dedicated to the crop, with 72.327 hectares in production. Thus, the expected productivity is 39,5 bags/ha. If confirmed, these numbers will imply growth of 39,9% in volume and 43% in the average number of bags per hectare.

The cooperative determined, also in the second week of June, that most of the fruit is at the cherry stage (57%), reflecting the generally favorable weather conditions for crop development.

"The weather favored grain filling and ripening, supporting good prospects for crop productivity. The current scenario reinforces favorable prospects for both productivity and quality of coffees produced in the Cerrado Mineiro region," indicates a bulletin from Expocacer.

Analysis is performed on randomly selected properties.

The survey conducted by the cooperative is carried out on randomly selected properties distributed throughout the Cerrado Mineiro region, aiming to ensure statistical representativeness and greater accuracy in the results.

The field analysis took place in the regions of the municipalities of Patrocínio, Presidente Olegário, Coromandel, Paracatu, Guimarânia, Carmo do Paranaíba, Campos Altos, Serra do Salitre, Romaria, Araxá, Perdizes, Uberaba, Patos de Minas, Uberlândia, among others.
