On February 18, Cocari held its 139th Ordinary General Assembly (AGO) at the headquarters of the Cocari Athletic Association, in Mandaguari (PR). The event brought together members, authorities and guests to present the cooperative's progress, discuss challenges and plan for the future.

To increase member participation, the AGM was preceded by 31 pre-assemblies, attended by 856 members from the states of Paraná, Goiás and Minas Gerais. This stage allowed participants to learn in advance about the proposals and reports that would be discussed at the main assembly.

Accountability to members

The opening of the AGM was led by Cocari's president, Dr. Marcos Antônio Trintinalha, who highlighted the importance of transparency and member engagement. "Cocari is strong because its members are strong," he stated.

During the meeting, the management report, financial statements and opinions from the Independent Auditors and the Fiscal Council were presented. The president emphasized that, despite the challenges faced in the last year, the cooperative remains strengthened by the commitment and active participation of its members. The event also included an open space for questions and contributions from participants.

Election of the Fiscal Council

Another highlight was the election of the Fiscal Council for 2025. The list presented was unanimously approved, with representatives appointed by the Strategic Advisors of the units.

The elected members were:

Effective:

  • John Carlos Barison (Aquidaban)
  • Aguinelo Luiz Feltrin (Itambe)
  • Osmar Ratti (Ortigueira)

Substitutes:

  • Clovis Gonçalves Becaria (Cruzmaltina)
  • Gabriel Fantim Valerio (Jandaia do Sul)
  • André Geraldo de Andrade (Luar Plate)

According to Dr. Trintinalha, the active participation of members strengthens governance and ensures that decisions are aligned with the interests of the cooperative.

The AGM reaffirmed Cocari's commitment to transparency and participatory governance, consolidating its sustainable growth strategy. "We are here to listen to our members and build an even more promising future together," concluded the president.
