Rivulis, an Israeli company specializing in drip irrigation systems, and Cocamar, one of the largest agricultural cooperatives in Brazil, announce a strategic and exclusive partnership. The agreement aims to provide cooperative members and customers with cutting-edge technology, improving water use efficiency and promoting increased crop productivity, especially in light of the adverse weather conditions faced by the sector in Brazil in recent harvests.

Leandro Lance, commercial director of the Israeli company in Brazil, emphasizes that drip irrigation will be the main offering of this partnership, seeking precision in water distribution and reduction of waste. According to Thassio Monteiro, agricultural engineer and technical consultant at Cocamar, the offer also guarantees cooperative members more complete assistance focused on irrigation, especially in challenging years in terms of climate.

The expectation is that the large-scale adoption of irrigation technologies will bring positive results not only for crops, but also for the environment and the economy of rural properties.

Irrigation focus regions

Thassio explains that, among the producing regions of Paraná, the one that most needs support with irrigation is Arenito Caiuá, an area with more sandy soils located in the northwest of the state. The cooperative's audience is mostly made up of small and medium-sized producers, although the cooperative also serves large properties.

Cocamar has more than 16 thousand members who receive support from 114 operational units, distributed between Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Goiás, including 97 agricultural stores that offer technical, administrative and commercial support.
