Influence of temperature on fuel consumption
Diesel temperature always affects specific fuel consumption, and when there is a biodiesel mixture, this behavior is even more influenced by temperature.
Most farmers in Brazil's main producing regions are focused on the corn harvest, which should be completed this July. However, the work in the field is very dynamic and does not stop, that is, when the cereal harvest is finished, it is recommended that the producer starts maintaining and reviewing the machines, leaving everything ready to start planting the soybeans, as soon as the harvest is finished. sanitary vacancy period.
At this time of pandemic, this dynamism has intensified even further. With the rise in the dollar, above R$5,00, many producers have already signed future sales contracts. With the harvest negotiated, for those who have not yet closed the planting package with the purchase of inputs, this is the ideal time, as this is when you can bargain for better prices. According to Wellington Casati, sales coordinator at J.Assy, a company specializing in technological solutions for agribusiness, most producers also negotiated the purchase of seeds between April and May, and should receive this material on the property in mid-August, close to the beginning of planting.
However, those who like to purchase discs in advance, ask for this, which is essential to ensure the quality of the planting, as they do not need to wait for the seeds to arrive at the property to purchase them. This is why J.Assy offers Apollo Discs, products that make it possible to plant all varieties of soybean seeds on the market. “The great advantage of our discs is that with just two measurements we can cover more than 90% of soybean seed lots, meaning the customer can plan the discs in advance. Furthermore, there is no seed on the market that we cannot supply”, highlights the coordinator.
The solutions developed by J.Assy were developed to meet all producer profiles. Currently on the market, the company offers the option of a soybean disc with 45 holes, which is recommended for a population of 10 plants per meter or the 64-hole model, which serves a population of 11 to 16 plants per meter. There is also the option of 90 recommended holes from 17 plants to 21 plants per meter. “These models are universal and compatible with all planters on the market”, highlights Casati.
For producers who use the Titanium doser, in addition to the items already mentioned, there are two exclusive options. The 56-hole model recommended for planting 14 plants per meter and the 135-hole option, more aimed at farmers in the North of Country, where the population grows more than 21 plants per meter.
The entire line of Apollo Discs has RampFlow technology, a ramp with small grooves in each hole that helps eliminate doubles and flaws and also reduces seed friction and breakage inside the doser. “RampFlow technology has provided, on average, a 60% reduction in double seeds and planting failures compared to any competitor on the market”, highlights the professional.
The other Apollo Discs technology is Coneflow. With the hole's exit diameter larger than the entry's, the seed does not get stuck in the disc. “With this technology, the seed comes out by gravity, it is one less mechanical damage that the seed will suffer to be deposited in the soil, improving its germination, quality and vigor during planting”, highlights Casati.
To guarantee a good result, J.Assy reinforces that Apollo Discs are always used in conjunction with Apollo Rings. And to facilitate identification and choice, the soy discs and rings have corresponding colors. The products originally come with J.Assy's Titanium mechanical dosers. The rings are also available separately, for replacement or application to the universal dispenser.
