The Regional Cooperative of Coffee Growers in Guaxupé (Cooxupé) begins, on the 1st, the 2022 edition of the Cerrado Fair, which, like last year, will be held in a 100% digital format due to the pandemic. The event is another opportunity for coffee growers to do big business, as Cooxupé prepared by purchasing products for stock and immediate delivery.

Just like Femagri, another traditional event in the coffee growing scene, cooperative members who were used to the in-person version of fairs gradually became familiar with the digital version and adapted to the new way of accessing products, news and technologies.

According to Elmo Donizetti de Cístolo, planning, administration and services manager at Cooxupé, the cooperative's preparation for the need to format the event online guarantees the necessary efficiency remotely.

“There is no doubt that virtual platforms are here to stay. Therefore, we understand that digital fairs are another access tool for rural producers,” she says. “We are sure to provide our members with the same content as in-person events”, he adds.

Organization

The Cerrado Fair prepared many new features for its members. There will be 85 participating companies and a portfolio of around 9 thousand items available for sale, under attractive and exclusive commercial conditions. These are opportunities that enable more sustainability, dynamism and modernity in the coffee producer's activity, such as coffee harvesters, sprayers, irrigation, precision agriculture, coffee yard projects, among others.

How to participate in the Cerrado Fair

To access the Cerrado Fair, members must download the Cooxupé app, available for Android and IOS for free, or seek assistance at their respective cooperative service centers.

Through the Cooxupé app, members have access to all companies participating in the Cerrado Fair and also to all products, images and technical specifications.

“If interested in purchasing any product, the producer will request a quote on the APP itself. The tool will immediately send a request to the sales team, who will contact the member to provide all commercial information”, explains Cooxupé machine supervisor, Douglas Ferreira.

For services at Cooxupé Centers, the sales team will receive members during business hours, following all health protocols.

The producer will be able to make his purchase through the Barter operation, whose coffee becomes payment “currency”.

Highlights

Members will be able to learn more about the technology of an electronic coffee selector, the only one that has a high-resolution, full-color optical system. When a defective grain is identified, it is removed from the selector flow by an ejection of compressed air.

Another new feature is a 2-in-1 machine, which centrifuges and transports in a continuous flow all types of coffee that are processed in the wet process, leaving the dry ones for the following drying processes. It is versatile equipment, easy to install and integrate into the pre-existing structure, and does not require civil work.
