The Rural Product Certificate (CPR) is one of the main financing instruments for Brazilian agribusiness. Last year, substantial changes to the Agro MP, current Law 13.986/2020, allowed rural producers to register the CPR digitally, without the need to travel.
Through Assinei, a startup from the Siagri Group specialized in contract management and electronic and digital signatures for agribusiness documents, customers who are able to gather all the signatures necessary for the validation of the CPR through the platform, so that the document arrives at the notary's office with the digital certificate, ready to be registered.
According to the CEO of Assinei, Michely Souza, the process of gathering the necessary signatures for the CPR has become more onerous with the pandemic, due to social distancing, as there are many operational costs to collect a signature on paper and take it for registration in registry.
“Now it is possible to digitize this process from start to finish. The customer gathers all signatures through Assinei, something that can be done in minutes, even integrated with management systems. In addition to reducing costs, this also represents productivity with operational efficiency from end to end, from distributor to rural producer”, says Souza.
The changes in the law seek to modernize the CPR and increase the credibility of these securities in the market. It is worth mentioning that the signature using an ICP-Brasil digital certificate (Public Key Infrastructure) is secure and is equivalent to a signature in your own hand with notarization. In addition to this guarantee, Assinei uses technology and encryption to validate the authorship and integrity of documents and signatures.
