CNH reaffirmed India's strategic role in its global growth strategy. The company is betting on the country as a hub for innovation, production, and exports, with advances in manufacturing, engineering, and market presence.
India is among CNH's fastest-growing markets. The company leverages its local supply chain, cost advantages, and skilled workforce to drive four fronts: expanding production for both domestic and international markets, consolidating the country as a technology and R&D hub, increasing its market share with products tailored to the local market, and leveraging Indian engineering to deliver competitive solutions.
As a milestone in this movement, CNH unveiled the first compact tractor produced at its Greater Noida plant. Today, the company exports products made in India to more than 80 countries.
CEO Gerrit Marx stated that India has become a central player in the company's global architecture. He highlighted the potential for innovation and scale combined with low costs, which ensures competitiveness and customer value across continents.
Narinder Mittal, Chairman and CEO of CNH in India, said the company is investing to support the "Make in India" program, creating jobs, increasing agricultural mechanization, and offering solutions that increase productivity.
CNH's Technology Center in Gurugram is expected to become the company's largest in the world. With over 700 engineers, the facility features simulators, virtual reality labs, and advanced prototyping tools. The center already contributes to the development of products for various global markets.
The company plans to double its market share for New Holland tractors in India over the next five years. The goal includes expanding the offering of local products, with a focus on 30- to 50-horsepower models designed to meet the specific needs of Indian farmers.
CNH maintains factories in Greater Noida, Pune, and Pithampur. These plants produce tractors, harvesters, balers, windrowers, engines, compactors, backhoe loaders, and excavators.
