Due to the ongoing pandemic of the new coronavirus and the impossibility of guaranteeing the safety and health of participants in major in-person events in 2021, the board of directors of AsBraAP (Brazilian Association of Precision Agriculture) decided to postpone the holding of ConBAP again - Brazilian Precision Agriculture Congress, this time for the period from August 09th to 11th, 2022.

According to the president of AsBraAP, Marcos Ferraz, the decision was made taking into account the current scenario of an increase in Covid 19 cases and still no prospects for immunization in Brazil. “We prefer to postpone another year and ensure that the event takes place with the same quality as always”, he explains.

Ferraz also considers that in 2021 the association will hold parallel events, as it did this year with the Precision and Digital Agriculture Online Seminar, to disseminate the concepts of precision and digital agriculture to participants. “It is important to maintain interaction with the public regarding these technologies because of the visibility and protagonism of precision and digital agriculture. We have contact with the best experts and researchers in Brazil and abroad to bring the most innovative in this area.”

Other information about registration and submission of works will be published in due course on the event's official website: www.asbraap.org/conbap/.

The Congress is promoted by AsBraAP, originally every two years, and brings together around 800 participants, including professionals in the field, researchers, teachers, rural producers, students, companies and users of different precision and digital agriculture techniques. The last edition took place in 2018.
