A new edition of the Brazilian Congress on Agribusiness Law is scheduled for March 19, 2024. The event, designed by the Brazilian Institute of Agribusiness Law – IBDA, will encourage a broad debate on the legal and regulatory challenges of the sector, in a context of changes in global geopolitics, food and energy insecurity, and measures by countries and companies to achieve carbon neutrality. The event will be held in São Paulo and will have free virtual broadcast.
Given this scenario, Brazilian agriculture needs to occupy a central position in global geopolitics, acting strongly to guarantee global food security. Therefore, it will be necessary to know and understand the imminent pressures on food demand and develop a regulatory environment aligned with this purpose.
Therefore, the 4th edition of the Brazilian Congress on Agribusiness Law will bring assessments and reflections on four fundamental themes for the sustainable development of the sector in the country: Agribusiness and Capital Markets – The Regulation of Fiagro; Property Law, Social Function and Agrarian Contracts; Risk Management, Insurance and Judicial Recovery; and Green Transition: Bioeconomy and Legal Instruments.
Registration to participate in the Congress is open on the official website. The event will feature the participation of important experts in the areas of law, agribusiness and economics, the private sector and the public sector in four panels, whose program is being defined by the Board of Trustees, made up of professionals with wide recognition and experience in the market. They are: Ana Frazão, Andrea Garcia, Francisco Satiro, Gianfranco Cinelli, Luiz Carlos Corrêa Carvalho, Marcos Jank, Renato Buranello, Roberto Rodrigues, Rodrigo Fiorese Castaldeli and Ruti Bender.
The 3rd edition of the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress was promoted in a hybrid format, bringing together more than 200 people in Brasília (DF), while the broadcast received 6 thousand views. The audience was made up of presidents, directors and managers of agribusiness companies, law firm managers, authorities and academics.
