Edenred Ticket Log conducted a survey of managers from 300 companies to understand the current status of fleet electrification in Brazil. The study revealed that 18% of companies already use electric vehicles, and another 18% plan to adopt them within the next three years—meaning four in ten companies are directly involved in this movement.
Among those already operating electric vehicles, 60% state that the decision was driven by decarbonization goals, while 47% cite the pursuit of innovation as the main motivator. Furthermore, 23% of these companies have already set goals to expand the use of this type of vehicle in their fleets. Among those that do not yet own electric vehicles but intend to purchase one, decarbonization is the main objective for 69%.
"The figures revealed by the survey highlight the strategic role of sustainability in advancing fleet electrification, given companies' concern about aligning their businesses with future expectations and regulations. When we adopt cleaner technologies, we are not only optimizing operations but also aligning our business with social expectations for decarbonization, catalyzing innovation, and strengthening our commitment to a more sustainable future," he comments. Data from the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE) shows that the number of electrified vehicles (hybrid and electric) reached approximately 100 units sold in Brazil in the first half of 2025 alone, representing a 195% increase in two years. This trend demonstrates growing interest in vehicle electrification and suggests that this path should also be increasingly followed by companies in the transportation sector.
"Although Brazil still has a long way to go, our research found that 18% of the companies surveyed already own an electric or hybrid vehicle. This demonstrates how much fleet electrification has been a transformative movement toward more sustainable mobility," concludes Bruno.
