Brazilian coffees in coffee year 2023 have a gross calculation calculated at R$ 49,37 billion

In the coffee year 2023, the total gross revenue of Cafés do Brasil reached an estimated amount of R$49,37 billion. Data are from the Coffee Observatory, from the Café Research Consortium, an integrated research network coordinated by Embrapa Café.

This figure includes R$ 37,62 billion in revenue obtained from coffees of this type Coffea arabica (Arabica coffee), which corresponded to 76% of the total collected, and, additionally, R$ 11,75 billion with coffees of the type Coffea canephora (robosa coffee + conilon coffee), the amount of which, in this case, is equivalent to 24% of total revenue for the coffee year now highlighted. 

As Brazilian Coffees are produced in the five Brazilian geographic regions, if a ranking is prepared in descending order of the gross revenue of this important agricultural activity in these regions, in the coffee year object of this analysis, it can be seen that the Southeast Region, in absolute form , led the revenue with a total calculation of R$42,49 billion, which is equivalent to 86% of the general gross value at national level. And, next, with an estimated R$3,24 billion in revenue from coffee, comes the Northeast Region, an amount that represents 6,5% of the total gross amount collected.

Complementing the ranking, in third position, the North Region stands out, with its revenue estimated at R$ 2,54 billion, which corresponds to 5,1% of the national gross value, followed by the South Region, in fourth position, with R$696 million in revenue, 1,4% of the national total. And finally, comes the Central-West Region, which comes in fifth place with the coffee sector's revenue estimated at R$ 396,78 million, a figure that represents less than 1% of the gross revenue of Cafés do Brasil in the year. coffee tree 2023.

Exclusively with the VBP of the seventeen jobs, it appears that in the agricultural year such gross revenue at a national level reached a general total of R$ 819,16 billion. Likewise, if a ranking of estimated gross revenue is prepared for the five main agricultural products, it appears that soybeans stands out in the first position with gross revenue of R$ 334,77 billion, an amount that represents 40,8% of the overall total mentioned above.

In second place in this ranking, corn revenue stands out, with R$ 142,02 billion (17,3%), followed by the value of sugar cane, in third place, with R$ 113,64 billion, the which corresponds to 13,9% of total activities. In fourth place in the ranking comes the brutal revenue of Cafés do Brasil, with the R$49,37 billion previously reported, which is equivalent to 6% of this total. And finally, in fifth place, comes cotton, whose planning was calculated at R$ 30,38 billion reais, an amount that represents 3,7% of the same comparative basis highlighted.
