Brazilian Agribusiness Congress will be attended by Tereza Cristina

Event, promoted by ABAG and B3, will be held in São Paulo, on August 5th, with around 900 registrants

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Teresa Cristina confirmed presence at the opening ceremony of the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, a joint achievement of ABAG – Brazilian Agribusiness Association and the B3 – Brazil, Stock Exchange, Counter, which will be promoted in the next Monday, August 5th, at the Sheraton WTC São Paulo Hotel.

The minister will be accompanied by Marcos Montes, Executive Secretary of MAPA; Andréa Figueiredo Procópio de Moura, Superintendent; Esequiel Liuson, Substitute Superintendent; and Fernando Camargo, Secretary of Innovation, Rural Development and Irrigation. The presence of the vice-governor of São Paulo, Rodrigo Garcia (in the role of substitute governor) is also expected, accompanied by the secretaries Marcos Penido, of Infrastructure and Environment; João Octaviano Machado Neto, from Logistics and Transport; Hugo Suenaga, from Agricultural Development and Fisheries; and Iran Lima, from Economic Development, Mining and Energy.

In this year's edition, the event will have an international guest: the executive Jingtao (Johnny) Chi, chairman of the Chinese COFCO International, one of the world's largest agribusiness trading companies, who will give the opening lecture on the topic “The Chinese Market and Sustainable Production”

In addition to the opening lecture, the program below of the Congress foresees the participation of a select group of experts from different segments related to the different links in the Brazilian agricultural production chain.

The group of speakers and debaters includes former ministers, economists who have held decisive positions of command in different government bodies, as well as executives from the largest and most important companies in practically all segments of economic activity. Check the profile catalogue of the speakers on the event website.
