Brazilian Agribusiness Congress 2021 opens registration

Registration for the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress 2021 is open. Promoted virtually on August 2nd, the event is organized by ABAG - Brazilian Agribusiness Association and B3 - Bolsa do Brasil and will feature debate on the central theme Our Carbon is Green. To register for free, simply access the official website. When registering, the participant will receive, first-hand, information about the virtual event as well as the Congress Proceedings.

Consolidated as one of the main national agricultural content events, this edition will feature three panels: Clean and Sustainable Energy, Green and Competitive Brazil, and The Future of Agro in World Trade, which will feature testimony from an expert on each topic and the debate by professionals working in the area. Journalist William Waack will be moderated.

The program will start at 9:00 am, with messages from Tereza Cristina, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply; by Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, Minister of Infrastructure, and federal deputy Sérgio Souza, president of the Parliamentary Front for Agriculture. Marcello Brito, president of the Board of Directors of Abag, and Gilson Finkelsztain, CEO of B3, will lead the opening ceremony.

In addition to the panels, ABAG will pay a special tribute to former minister Alysson Paolinelli, nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. The presentation will be in charge of former minister Roberto Rodrigues, coordinator of FGVAgro. Minister Tereza Cristina will also be honored with the Ney Bittencourt de Araújo Award – Agribusiness Personality. The Norman Borlaug Award – Sustainability will be awarded to Celso Moretti, president of Embrapa.

The latest edition of the Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, also promoted virtually, brought together more than 8000 participants, an audience made up of businesspeople, sector leaders, public authorities linked to federal, state and municipal governments, several parliamentarians, as well as professionals linked to agriculture.
