Brazilian Maurício Andrião (pictured) will take over as Vice President of Brandt International on September 1st. He will be responsible for Brandt's business outside the United States and Canada and will chair the company's newly created International Board of Directors. Andrião will report to Brandt's Executive Team. He will succeed Ramon Georgis, current Vice President of International, who will retire on December 31st. Until then, the two will work together to ensure the transition.
In his new role, Andrião will be responsible for leading and expanding Brandt International. His first mission will be to support the executive team in restructuring the company's international operations into defined regions, preserving the Team Brandt culture. Currently, the company's products are available in over 85 countries, with production facilities in Brazil, Spain, and South Africa.
Additionally, Andrião will chair the International Board of Directors, comprised of Wladimir Chaga (Brandt Brazil), Manuel Gonzalez and Lucia Cepeda (Brandt Europe), and Isak Le Roux (Brandt Africa). The Board will play a strategic role in defining objectives and monitoring results, reporting directly to the executive team.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the biological and specialty fertilizer sectors, Andrião built an international career at Stoller (now Corteva). Born and raised in Brazil, he began his career as a technical sales representative at Stoller do Brasil and was promoted to regional manager for the East and Northeast regions of the country. He then moved to South Africa, where he served as General Manager of Stoller South Africa.
He subsequently became Business and Marketing Manager for Stoller EMEA and, later, General Manager of Stoller Europe, based in Spain. After the company's acquisition by Corteva, he became Marketing Leader for Biologicals in EMEA, focusing on strategic markets.
Andrião holds an Executive MBA from Fundesem Business School (Spain) and a Master's degree in Horticulture and Agronomy from São Paulo State University (Unesp). He experienced American culture as an exchange student in Alaska and applied his training early in his career by managing a vegetable farm.
