The Reunidas 3 Farm, owned by Agropecuária Baumgart, located in Rio Verde (GO), stood out as the winner in the Dryland category of the Central-West Region in the latest edition of the National Challenge for Maximum Soybean Productivity, promoted by CESB. The property achieved a record of 119,03 bags per hectare, the result of careful and innovative technical management.
According to Alexandre Baumgart, CEO of Agropecuária Baumgart, the secret is to “do the basics well and use technology consciously, without excesses”. The use of brachiaria, for example, is considered essential to improve the soil profile and protect it during periods of drought, promoting ideal conditions for growing soybeans.
Other practices highlighted include biological management and the use of cultivars adapted to the soil and climate, in addition to the controlled application of pesticides and fertilizers. Alexandre emphasizes that the synergy between fungi and bacteria in the soil is essential for efficient nutrient fixation, reducing chemical interference and favoring the biome.
Technology is also a strategic ally, with tools such as drones for monitoring, nanotechnology, inoculants and foliars that help in the healthy development of plants. Baumgart emphasizes the importance of balanced management, respecting the needs of soybeans and minimizing chemical impacts.
Recognition in the CESB Challenge reinforces the importance of adopting sustainable and integrated practices, showing that it is possible to achieve high productivity while respecting the environment and soil quality.
