Blairo is honored with a special award in Argentina

Minister Blairo Maggi (Agriculture, Livestock and Supply) was one of the special honorees at this year's III Latin American Sales Personality Award (Laspa). Promoted by the Global Council Sales Marketing (GCSM), the award aims to promote global market integration, offering national and international recognition for good business practices, sustainable, ethical governance and vital for economic, social and market development in Brazil , Latin America and the rest of the world.

The award ceremony was held this Saturday (5) at the Alvear Palace Hotel, in Buenos Aires. Mapa's executive secretary, Eumar Novacki, represented the minister, participating in the event in Argentina as a special guest. “It is a great honor to represent Minister Blairo Maggi in this award,” he said.

The global president of the Global Council, Agostinho Turbian, said that the Laspa award highlights the importance of entrepreneurship focused on agribusiness throughout Latin America. He also recalled that agribusiness is a sector that was, once again, the protagonist of Brazil's trade balance this year.

According to Turbian, the project gives voice and space to national agricultural production and promotes the expansion of business exchange and good practices in the sector. “Congratulations to all those honored on this occasion and to everyone who contributes daily to agribusiness on our continent."

For Novacki, the award is recognition of the work of minister Blairo Maggi, not only as a producer, but as a public administrator, seeking to expand Brazil's participation in the world market and facilitating Mapa's processes through programs such as Agro+, aimed at reducing bureaucracy and modernizing the sector.

GCSM is an institutional entity that is responsible for researching, evaluating and suggesting names of companies and entrepreneurs to compete for awards such as Laspa, the Latin American Marketing Personality Award; the Woca – World Company Award; Gospa (Global Sales Personality Award) and Gompa (Global Marketing Personality Award).

The special honorees of this edition of Lapa were minister Blairo Maggi and the governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin.
