Combating end-of-cycle diseases is a highlight of UPL at the 3rd Soy Expo
Virtual event, promoted by the Camda cooperative, based in Adamantina (SP), takes place from March 9th to 11th
The results of ten years of the Biomas Project, a partnership between the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), will help producers to increasingly combine agricultural production and sustainability. On March 10, the results of the Project will be presented in a virtual event, with the presence of presidents João Martins, from CNA, and Celso Luiz Moretti, from Embrapa, as well as authorities, producers, researchers, technicians and project partners. The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Tereza Cristina, was invited.
Created in 2010, the Biomas Project included the participation of professionals, researchers and professors from various institutions, who promoted studies and experiments to provide producers with solutions for the protection, recovery and economic and sustainable use of rural properties in the six biomes. Brazilians (Cerrado, Caatinga, Atlantic Forest, Pampa, Amazon and Pantanal).
Among the techniques researched by Biomas, there are alternatives for implementing Legal Reserves using models with exotic and native species of economic value. Furthermore, the project tested more economical ways for producers to resolve environmental liabilities in Permanent Preservation Areas (APPs), for example.
Biomas presents several results for rural producers in the short, long and medium term. One of them is the PRAVALER Project, an initiative that will take research developed by Biomas and other knowledge into the field and show producers, in practice, how to add sustainability to production. PRAVALER will also be launched on March 10th.
During the event there will also be the launch of the pilot initiative of the PRAVALER project in the municipality of Boca do Acre (AM). On the occasion, a Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed by the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Amazonas (Faea), the State Secretariat for the Environment (Sema), the Institute for Environmental Protection of Amazonas (Ipaam), the Institute of Agricultural Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam) and the Boca do Acre City Hall.
The event will be free and no registration is required. Access: http://agropelobrasil.com.br
