Matão region is an example of how it is possible to control greening
The Matão region was the only one in the citrus belt that showed a drop in the incidence of greening in 2021
The bean crop, one of the main ingredients on the Brazilian table, has faced several problems with the occurrence of soil fungi and nematodes that cause severe damage to the root system of plants, significantly affecting productivity. “Therefore, it is important to highlight the relevance of building the balance of the soil’s macro and microbiota provided by the use of biological products”, states Satis’ National Development and Research Manager, agronomist Aedyl Lauar (Kid).
In the current scenario, due to production costs, many producers will have to reduce the bean planting area, replacing it with corn crops in irrigated areas. Even in these cases, Lauar highlights that soil bioactivation is important to create an environment favorable to good productivity rates. “We must take advantage of the opportunity and use specific biological products to rebalance the soil”, he ponders. Specialized in the production of agricultural inputs aimed at plant nutrition, the Minas Gerais company Satis recently launched the Bio Line with a portfolio of solutions that combine fungi and bacteria, which promote: Improvement of soil microbiology, mitigation of stress, increased rooting of crops, maintenance of plant vigor, improvement in the absorption and assimilation of nutrients and water, increase in the population of beneficial organisms, exclusion of undesirable microorganisms, improvement in the mineralization of organic matter, among other contributions.
The agronomist believes that formulations with biological agents based on Trichoderma, Purpureocilium and Isaria, Bacillus, Beauvéria and Metarhizium, among others, can help rebuild soil biota that is out of balance. According to monitoring carried out by Satis, there will be planting of beans in the irrigated areas of Goiás, but there must be a reduction and exchange for corn. A similar situation should happen in the northwest of Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso and West Bahia.
