Biological fertilizer helps producers face drought

The dry period is usually farmers' biggest nightmare, as drought causes losses and directly impacts crop productivity. Therefore, adopting some strategies during this season is essential to face the problem, such as planting adapted and resistant crops, rotating these crops, and using management techniques and technologies.

Rural producer Mauro Franco, owner of Fazenda São Benedito, located in Cambará-PR, for example, adopted the application of Biological Fertilizer produced with Microgeo in his management. For him, it is during drought that the solution expresses its best version, since the plants remain resistant during this period without rain.

Microgeo is a balanced component that nourishes, regulates and maintains the continuous production of Biological Fertilizer through the Continuous Liquid Composting Process (CLC). Biotechnology, which is the only one on the market that manages and reestablishes the soil microbiome, allows the farmer himself, on his property, to produce biological fertilizer adapted to local needs, facilitating production and application.

On his corn plantation, Franco uses Microgeo and has been using the technology since 2012 with two applications per year (summer and winter harvest). “For us, producers, Microgeo is an essential tool, as it is responsible for promoting benefits that act on conditioning the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. Furthermore, it allows plants to develop deeper roots and better resist pests, diseases and the dry period,” he highlights. According to him, it is gratifying to be able to count on a product that helps in your daily life, ensuring greater productivity and profitability.

In addition to corn, Franco works on his property with soybeans, wheat and sugar cane, and uses the solution in areas of these 4 crops. It is important to highlight that Microgeo can be used in all types of cultivation, livestock farming or forestry crop management. It can also be applied via spraying, fertigation, at any temperature, light or even humidity, in conjunction with chemical and biological pesticides, fertilizers, foliar inputs, vinasse, among others.
