“To build the company we want for our business, employees and society, we need to develop the organization’s future talents. With this in mind, our learning model is based on digital experiences, group learning and practical work. This model aims to strengthen skills such as emotional intelligence; strategic vision and development for positions across businesses; in addition to providing cultural immersion to build an attitude connected to our values”, explains Renata Prestes, recruiter in the Talent Acquisition area at Bayer Brasil.
Higher education, agricultural and technical students are eligible for the program. Among the learning paths, the new class will find topics related to the Bayer World, Project Vision, Emotional Intelligence, Career and Performance, Digital Transformation and Innovation.
In addition to different learning paths, the company has other forms and development tools, such as:
Go Learning: A program in which the intern indicates topics and skills they want to develop and, through artificial intelligence, receives articles, suggestions for books, videos, courses and even podcasts. All of this with a connection to several content providers, such as LinkedIn Learn, which is a library with digital learning content. The program includes more than 240 new courses that are professionally produced with expert instructors.
Online English course: Bayer, as a global company, allows interns to connect with different people and countries, which is why it offers an online English course so that everyone can develop the language and thus immerse themselves in this multicultural environment.
Global Mentoring Program: At Bayer, interns receive mentoring from professionals around the world who are ready to help them on their development journeys.
Diversity and inclusion trail: Through a transversal learning journey, interns will learn that building a better future is part of planning under different voices, perspectives and concepts.
Beta Program: It consists of a committee of Bayer interns from all over Brazil that promotes integration and development for these professionals, working on soft skills and engaging them in social issues, so that they become more critical professionals. The group organizes the BETA Olympics, an event that brings together groups of interns with Bayer's five affinity groups through virtual hackathons in which interns help develop proposals, dynamics and ideas related to the improvement and development of inclusion & inclusion initiatives. diversity at Bayer.
“Each person has a unique talent. And, at Bayer, these skills become a talent with a purpose: seeking a world with health for all and hunger for none. We know that we will not achieve this alone, but rather collaboratively. That's why we're looking for curious people, eager to learn, up to date with trends and technological developments to direct talents to make lives better for people, bringing nutrition, health and self-care to those who need it”, comments Patricia Leung, Employer Brand Manager & Campus Recruitment at Bayer Brazil.
Interns will also have the opportunity to get closer to Bayer's five affinity groups, which deal daily with issues related to inclusion and diversity: the BayAfro, which works on ethnic-racial issues, the Grow, which deals with issues related to gender; the Blend, which deals with LGBTQIAP+ issues; Enable, which covers the universe of people with disabilities; and Infinite, which deals with integration between people of different generations and combats ageism.
“Inclusion and diversity are fundamental pillars for us. In 2021, 44% of our hired interns were black and 55% were women. For the next opportunities, we will continue to invest in innovative, inclusive and diverse actions, encouraging self-development and collaboration to prepare these young professionals for the future we want: more sustainable, equal and better for everyone", adds Patricia Leung.
