With the aim of training spraying operators and rural producers in Goiás in good herbicide application practices, Bayer's agricultural division and the Goiás National Rural Learning Service (Senar-GO) signed a partnership to launch the "I2X Acerte" Program - Good Application Practices". The initiative will provide refresher courses for professionals in the sector by instructors in training offered by the entity. Interested parties can inform themselves via Senar-GO website.
The "I2X Acerte - Good Application Practices" training will be itinerant - it will take place in at least 15 municipalities in the state, including Rio Verde, Jataí, Mineiros, Cristalina, Luziânia, Goianésia, among others. With a twenty-four hour workload, the practical and theoretical content will address good application practices for adequate weed management, with tools associated with the third generation of soybean biotechnology that Bayer brings to the market for the 2021 harvest/ 22.
Before going into the field to train technical professionals and spraying operators, Senar-GO instructors and technicians participated in refresher training with simulators and equipment that reproduce spraying conditions in the field and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to course participants. This same equipment will be used in itinerant classes offered by the entity, thus ensuring greater understanding of the practices.
Senar-GO instructors and technicians will also be able to count on additional tools to encourage learning for their classes, such as a trail with videos for distance learning, a free application with a methodology that assists in the practical and periodic inspection of sprayers and a tool that allows training via WhatsApp.
"For us, it is very important to offer all the conditions so that field teams are highly qualified to adopt new technologies and solutions. This involves a broad qualification and training program. Therefore, it is essential that we can count on the support and the expertise of partners such as Senar, an institution that is a reference in Brazil for training and transferring knowledge to field professionals. Again, we are working in partnership with the chain and with the farmer, providing information with transparency so that the producer can have more efficiency, profitability and sustainability in cultivation", says Natália Carvalho, leader of the launch of the INTACTA 2 XTEND platform.
The courses will cover topics such as the challenges of weed management in Brazil, application technology to reduce drift, 10 steps to intelligent herbicide management, practical and periodic inspection of sprayers, correct and safe use of herbicides.
"Today, Senar Goiás is a national reference in its courses. Whether face-to-face or distance learning. Among other highlights, we are prioritizing precision agriculture, as these are highly demanded courses and always involve innovation and technology. With this qualification, it is expected an improvement in labor, achieving not only effectiveness in the application of products, but also in the management of equipment", says Dirceu Borges from Senar-GO.
Training and qualifications, such as those offered by the "I2X Acerte - Good Application Practices" Program, are the result of a partnership with academics and consultants from Brazil, and are part of the launch of the INTACTA 2 XTEND Platform, which aims to impact 20 thousand people, including producers, multipliers, distribution channels, cooperatives and employees, in person and online throughout 2021.
Registration and more information about the Program are available on the Senar-GO website or directly from the municipality's Rural Union.
