Technology is one of the main tools to ensure increased agricultural productivity, reduce losses and improve crop sustainability. However, one of the main bottlenecks for the producer is being able to efficiently take advantage of the potential of the different technological solutions available. This was one of the reasons that led Climate FieldView, Bayer's digital agriculture platform, to enter into a partnership with the data infrastructure company Leaf Agriculture.

With Leaf, Bayer's platform now has more than 20 companies that trusted to combine their know-how with Climate's expertise, in order to further improve rural producers' digital experience, through more assertive data integration. . Furthermore, it will be possible to gain agility and scale when integrating startup solutions.

For Leaf, the partnership will bring access to the market, experience and reliability of a company like Bayer, which has been operating in Brazil alone for 125 years. “Working with the Bayer team has been an incredible experience and we are excited to continue contributing to the Fieldview ecosystem continuing to grow and attract more partners,” says Bailey Stockdale, CEO of Leaf.

According to Fernanda Eduardo, Digital & Innovation Manager at LifeHub SP, Bayer's innovation center responsible for connecting Climate Fieldview and Leaf in this partnership, integration between market platforms is a key strategy for customer success and the greater the number of data and information, the better the chance of excellent results. "However, it is increasingly difficult to bring innovative and effective solutions to producers alone. Innovating is a collaborative process and, therefore, we are always looking for companies that want to join us on this journey", he adds.

Currently, solutions from Climate FieldView partner companies include drone maps and photos, cost management and pest monitoring software, aerial spraying, among others. All of them already have integration with Bayer's digital platform, meaning the data generated using these companies' tools can be imported, allowing producers to concentrate information in a single place.

"One of the main objectives of Climate FieldView is to support producers in the integration of different agronomic information, as well as assisting them in managing operations, enabling greater efficiency during the harvest. With Leaf, the intention is to increase the arrival of new companies, startups and their solutions, in a simpler and faster way, expanding the quality of our tool and improving cultivation management", says Guilherme Belardo, responsible for integrations at Climate Fieldview.

Until then, integration between platforms was carried out directly by the FieldView team. "Now the integrations are carried out by a company specialized in API integrations (Application Programming Interface), which facilitates and speeds up the process, expanding the results and interactions between the different data generated - all this as long as there is express authorization of our customers and partners", comments Belardo.

An example of a solution integrated with FieldView after the partnership with Leaf is the agricultural management startup Aegro, which allows customers to access the Bayer platform and transfer all planting, spraying and harvesting data to Aegro using their credentials. FieldView. In this way, it is possible to manage all costs, assets, production, stocks and productivity of all crops.

The Bayer and Leaf partnership, in addition to the Latin American region, is also being developed for the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Canada, with relevant results and integrations. "We seek to help agribusiness technology companies connect in a simple and agile way. This strengthens the ecosystem of companies and startups, allowing better data management and decision-making by producers", concludes Stockdale.
