Insecticide for seed treatment is Corteva’s highlight
The company brings its first seed treatment solution for the crop to the opening of the rice harvest
During the Official Opening of the Rice Harvest, BASF launched the Provisia system and celebrated 20 years of Clearfield technology.
Provisia presents rice cultivars tolerant to the herbicide Provisia 50 EC, from the group of ACCase inhibitors. It is a product that controls harmful rice (formerly called "red rice") and barnyard grass. It even works on biotypes resistant to ALS inhibitors.
In turn, Clearfield started in Brazil in 2003. This technology is not transgenic. It consists of inducing mutations in rice seeds that are selected for resistance to herbicides from the imidazolinone group.
In the video above, Diego Pires, market development manager at BASF, explains more about the topics.
