Basf is the newest member of the group of Citrus Grower Friendly Companies, a seal created by Fundecitrus to recognize companies linked to the citrus chain that encourage sustainable actions to control pests and diseases. With the partnership, Basf now supports the Phytosanitary Alert, a system created by Fundecitrus to encourage regional management of greening (huanglongbing/HLB) and encourage citrus growers to work together with their neighbors to reduce the population of the insect that transmits the disease , the psyllid.

In addition to Basf, the other Citrus Grower Friendly Companies are: Bayer, Cocamar, Firmenich, FMC, Ihara, Koppert, Syngenta and UPL.
