With less than two years of its launch and more than 290 startups registered, Basf's AgroStart program will begin its fifth acceleration class. Entrepreneurs interested in participating in the selection, which takes place in August, must register for the program by June 30th on the website www.agrostart.basf.com.br.

To participate in the selection, startups must have multidisciplinary teams, offer solutions to challenges in the agro sector and have a very well-defined minimum viable product. It is important to remember that throughout the process the entrepreneur will receive mentoring from experts in the agro market.

“Basf constantly invests in solutions that make the daily lives of rural producers easier. In recent months, hundreds of entrepreneurs focused on solutions that are already revolutionizing the field have gone through the selection phase. AgroStart came to bring more competitiveness to agribusiness and we want to increasingly be a reference in this innovation ecosystem”, comments Almir Araújo, responsible for the Digital Agro area at Basf for Latin America.

During this period, the Basf and ACE team, a partner in the acceleration program, evaluated solutions that range from application of inputs using drones, climate monitoring systems, management tools, to pest and disease detection, such as Arpac, Alluagro, AgroTrac and Iagro.

“When there are clear benefits from the proximity between a large company and startups, both sides win. This is the case with AgroStart”, highlights Pedro Waengertner, CEO and founding partner of ACE.
