Banco do Brasil has just launched the new “Boletim Agro”. The publication, prepared by BB’s team of economists, aims to offer a comprehensive and accurate view of the agricultural scenario. Published quarterly, the bulletin provides detailed analyses and projections that are essential for decision-making in the market.
The first bulletin presents the scenario for 2025, which is promising, with the expectation of the largest harvest in history. Soybean production is expected to grow by 12,8%, while corn production is expected to increase by 3,6%. The report also predicts growth in rice (13,8%), cotton (1,2%) and wheat (2,1%) harvests.
In terms of climate, there is a possibility of the La Niña phenomenon occurring in the coming months, but its intensity is expected to be weak or moderate, with limited impact on rural activity. In addition, the fertilizer cost environment is less pressured compared to the last harvest.
In livestock farming, projections indicate a 4,3% decline in cattle slaughter in 2025, after a record year in 2024. Poultry farming and pig farming are expected to maintain their growth rate, with expected increases of 2,1% and 1,6%, respectively.
“We are Banco do Agro and, as such, with so much expertise and analytical capacity internalized, we felt the need for a more comprehensive report through which we could share our vision for the segment with our clients. The Agro Bulletin aims to fill this gap”, says Marcelo Rebelo (pictured above), BB’s chief economist.
The Agro Bulletin reinforces BB's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector with quality information, contributing to strategic decision-making.
