PI AgSciences starts 2026 with participation in agricultural events.
This week, the company will be present at two important events: the 1st GDK Field Day in Mato Grosso do Sul, and Dinetec in Mato Grosso.
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) made available this Tuesday (January 13th) an additional R$ 15,3 billion for rural credit operations within the scope of programs of the 2025-2026 Harvest Plan. Of this amount, R$ 10,4 billion will be allocated to lines aimed at agribusiness and R$ 4,9 billion to family farming.
With this measure, the total resources still available in the different Federal Government Agricultural Programs (PAGF) to be transferred by the Bank is R$20,1 billion, with a deadline for use until June 2026.
“These are resources to support both small and medium-sized producers as well as agribusiness. Credit for investment, innovation and sustainability, strengthening food production and allowing the sector to continue as one of the main engines of the country's development,” said the president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante.
The resources may be used by rural producers, cooperatives and family farmers to cover costs and invest in various purposes, including expanding production, purchasing machinery and equipment, storage and innovation.
BNDES is one of the main supporters of the agricultural sector. In the 2025-2026 Harvest Plan, the Bank has already approved R$ 26,4 billion under the PAGF program and has fulfilled requests for more than 105 operations through indirect operations carried out by its network of accredited financial agents.
In addition to PAGFs, BNDES also offers its own solutions to guarantee the supply of credit to the agricultural sector throughout the year, such as BNDES Rural Credit – in the current harvest, the product has already totaled R$ 4,4 billion in approved operations.
