BB Seguros is launching a complete course with a certificate for training new experts in rural insurance. The content of the course's four modules, unprecedented in the insurance market, was developed in a partnership between BB Seguros and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at UNESP, in Botucatu (SP), and will be made available on Broto, an exclusive platform for rural producers maintained by BB Seguros and Banco do Brasil.

“The expansion of agricultural frontiers and the techno-scientific advancement of machines, equipment, geotechnologies, management and risk management, benefit the rural segment and also create the need to keep the insurance area up to date, training the professionals who carry out their activities in it”, comments Paulo Hora, Superintendent of Rural Insurance at Brasilseg. ”This aspect is even more important in relation to experts who work in the field, who are one of the main links between the insurance company and the rural producer. We have the ambition to be the biggest trainer of professionals in the rural insurance segment in Brazil”, adds the executive.

The BB Seguros expert training course will enable the understanding of the main demands of insurers and, especially, the techniques applied, conduct and performance of experts when claims occur. Concepts related to rural insurance and the expert's activity in conducting claims assessment are the bases of the program content. There are several modules that will be made available periodically, with different degrees of depth and specific objectives.

The distance learning distance learning modules allow you to increase the reach of the course and will be made available on the Broto platform, developed by Brasilseg and Banco do Brasil to be the largest digital agribusiness ecosystem in the country, with one of its verticals as the training front. .

With this initiative, BB Seguros intends to meet a latent need for qualifications in Brazil, where there is a lack of technical education based on quality theoretical content. By combining empirical and academic knowledge, the course aims to become a reference in the training of field experts, renewing the job market in the area. The project also envisages expanding the scope of target audiences capable of technical training in rural insurance.

“We will train great professionals, providing more career opportunities in the agricultural insurance segment, especially for agronomists”, comments Roseli Visentin, Technical Coordinator of the Agricultural Sciences course at UNESP, in Botucatu/SP. “We believe that the positive impact on the market will be immediate, since they are the ones who meet the demands of insurers, whether carrying out surveys to accept risks or carrying out surveys that locate, sample, characterize and quantify losses reported by policyholders” , adds Roberto Lyra, coordinator of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the same institution.
