Research highlights increased demand due to climate change and productivity
BASF announced Daniel Neptune Marcon as the new vice president of operations for South America and responsible for the chemical complex in Guaratinguetá, a city in the interior of São Paulo.
Marcon has worked for the company for over 20 years, starting at the São Bernardo do Campo (SP) plant and including stints at other company units in North America, Europe and South America.
Leading several strategic projects over the years, the executive has solid knowledge in manufacturing and supply chain, with strong experience in leadership and people development.
“Returning to Brazil, and especially to Guaratinguetá, is a significant moment in my career and brings with it a renewed commitment to the sustainable expansion and innovation of our sector. We will strengthen our excellence and promote an environment that prioritizes the development of people, safety and the creation of impactful solutions for society,” highlights the executive.
With a degree in chemical engineering from Unicamp – Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and an MBA in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Daniel Marcon began his career at BASF as a trainee in 2003.
