Rice indicator operates close to stability
Paddy rice negotiations are at a slow pace
To achieve good productivity and satisfactory development of crops, it is necessary to go beyond maintaining the physical and chemical conditions of the soil. This is because it is in the biological part that the beneficial microorganisms are found, which will be essential for the development of the root system and for the provision of nutrients and water to the plant throughout its cycle. Therefore, fertilization with attention to this aspect becomes essential for better results in harvesting and soil renewal and longevity.
In this scenario, the application of natural solutions in the period between harvests or close to planting, pre or post, is recommended to promote the biological activity of the soil. “These tools, based on amino acids, sugars, organic acids and metabolites, will act as conditioners of the environment, favoring these beneficial microorganisms so that they stimulate the plant's root system”, says doctor in agronomy Mayra Soares, technical manager of grains at Alltech Crop Science.
The tool became part of the corn crop management of Fabiano Rodrigo, from Três Barras do Paraná (PR), in this second harvest, and the producer has already noticed results. “Where we use the product, we see green corn from top to bottom. We had a 64-day drought and where it wasn’t used we noticed that the plant felt it,” he says. “We observed the difference in the depth of the roots where it was applied and standard ears. Where it was not used, there were smaller ears and the corn felt the drought”, adds the farmer.
Mayra also explains that soil is the most diverse environment on Earth, but often these microorganisms that live in the environment do not have food to increase their population. “When we talk about promoting biological activity, it is about offering readily available compounds for these microorganisms to feed and multiply. This availability of nutrients occurs through the decomposition of organic matter,” she reports.
In addition to the use of these natural solutions, with a focus on activating the biological activity of the soil, the agronomist highlights other important management actions such as crop rotation in the area, to maintain the variety of population of microorganisms present in the environment, planting under cover , with the function of incorporating carbon into the system and also inoculating beneficial microorganisms.
With the aim of increasing mineralization and availability of nutrients, Alltech Crop Science has Soil-Plex Ready, a solution from the Solo Line. Developed from specific nutrients and organic compounds, it allows greater interaction of biomass with decomposing microorganisms, phosphorus solubilizers and other nutritional elements, resulting in improved plant development.
